77th-79th Lesson from the Book of Tawheed by Shaykhul-Islaam Muhammad bin Abdil-Wahhaab
بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم
From the commentary on the Book of Tawheed by Shaykhul-Islaam Muhammad bin Abdil-Wahhaab may Allaah have mercy on him, 77th-79th, Lesson,
By Shaykh, the ‘Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu ‘Abdirrahmān Yahya bin ‘Ali Al-Hajūri – may Allāh preserve him – on the 27th, Rabee’ Al-Awwal, 1444H
Chapter: His statement:
(أَفَأَمِنُوا۟ مَكْرَ ٱللَّهِۚ فَلَا يَأْمَنُ مَكْرَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلْقَوْمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ)
Then, did they feel secure from the plan of Allah? But no one feels secure from the plan of Allah except the losing people.
[Al-A’raaf: 99]
And His statement:
(وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ)
He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?"
[Al-Hijr: 56]
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أَنَّ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: سئل عن الكبائر؟ فقال: “الشرك بالله، واليأس من روح الله، والأمن من مكر الله”.
And from Ibn 'Abbaas may Allaah be pleased with them that the Prophet ﷺ was asked about the major sins? So he said: "Shirk with Allaah, and despairing from the mercy of Allaah, and feeling safe from the plot of Allaah."
و عن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال: “أكبر الكبائر: الإشراك بالله، والأمن من مكر الله، والقنوط من رحمة الله، واليأس من روح الله” رواه عبد الرازق.
And from Ibn Mas'ood may Allaah be pleased with him, he sais: "The biggest of major sins is Shirk with Allaah, feeling safe from the plot of Allaah, and despairing in the mercy of Allaah,

The First: Tafseer of the verse of Al-A’raaf.
The Second: Tafseer of the verse of Al-Hijr.
The Third: The severe threat for the one who feels safe from the plot of Allaah.
