Umrah Requirements: Do I Need to Visit Masjid Aisha for Multiple Umrahs?

Understanding the Rules for Performing Umrah in Makkah and Jeddah

Question: People who come for Umrah stay in Makkah for seven days and in Madinah for seven days. When they are in Makkah and need to perform Umrah again, do they have to go to Masjid Aisha each time? And if they later stay in Jeddah, do they need to go to Masjid Aisha for Umrah, or can they perform Umrah directly from Jeddah?

Answer: Those who come for Umrah should complete their Umrah and then patiently stay in Makkah and Madinah, focusing on other acts of worship. There is no need to perform Umrah repeatedly. One Umrah per journey is sufficient and this is the Sunnah. If a person is in Makkah and wants to perform another Umrah, they should go to Masjid Aisha. However, if they move to Jeddah and then intend to perform Umrah, they can enter the state of Ihram from Jeddah itself. It is also important to remember to perform Umrah properly and avoid performing multiple Umrahs in quick succession, as this goes against the Sunnah. However, it is permissible to perform another Umrah after a few days during a long journey.
