Question: A man has just arrived in Jeddah today for work and wishes to perform Umrah. From where should he don the Ihram?
Answer: If the situation is as described, the man should wear the Ihram garment from his residence in Jeddah, where he is staying. He should perform Ghusl (ritual purification) there, put on the Ihram, make the intention for Umrah, and then proceed to Masjid al-Haram to perform his Umrah.
