Question: A young man who is paralyzed is being taken on Umrah by his family. If an elastic band is placed in his Ihram garment, will there be any penalty or compensation required?
Answer: There is no harm in placing an elastic band in the Ihram garment of the paralyzed young man. This is permissible due to necessity, and Islam allows for such necessities. Therefore, no penalty or compensation (fidyah) is required in this case.
