Question: I am residing in Jeddah and planning to go to Pakistan soon, but I haven’t got leave yet. I intend to perform Umrah this Friday, but I am feeling unwell today and unsure if I will be well by Friday. If, God forbid, I am unable to perform Umrah on Friday, will there be any issue, and is there any concession in this matter?
Answer: Since you have only made the intention to perform Umrah this Friday and if your health does not permit you to perform Umrah, there is no issue in this. You have only thought about and intended to perform Umrah, and you can change this intention. Once you wear the Ihram and make the intention for Umrah, you will have to complete the Umrah. Until you leave your home (in Jeddah) with the intention of performing Umrah and wearing the Ihram, there is no issue for you.
