Can a Woman Travel for Umrah with Her Nephew as a Mahram?

Mahram Requirements for Umrah: A Guide for Women Traveling with Family”

Question: My wife is coming for Umrah with her son, and my wife’s sister will also be there with her family. The question is, my sister, who is fifty years old and does not have a husband, also wants to come. How can she come in this situation?

Answer: Your son is a Mahram (a male guardian) for your sister. Therefore, in this journey, your son will act as a Mahram for both your wife and your sister. Hence, your sister can travel for Umrah with her nephew, i.e., your son, without any issue. In other words, one Mahram is sufficient for two women.
