By our Shaykh, the ‘Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu ‘Abdirrahmān Yahya bin ‘Ali Al-Hajūri – may Allāh preserve him – on the 30th, Shawwaal, 1444H
Chapter: Whoever curses the time has harmed Allaah
And His statement:
And they say, "There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time." And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming."
[Al-Jashiyah: 24]
And in the two Saheehs from Abi Hurairah from the Prophet ﷺ he said: “Allaah said: “Ibn Aadam harms me, he curses the time, while I am the time, I change the night and the day.”
And in a narration: “Don’t curse the time, for indeed Allaah is the time.”
In it are Masaa’il (topics):
The First: The prohibition of cursing the time.
The Second: Calling it as ‘harming Allaah’.
The Third: Pondering over His statement: “For indeed Allaah is the time.”
The Fourth: That he could be cursing whilst he doesn’t intend it with his heart.
