Chapter: From Eemaan is having patience upon the decrees of Allaah, and His statement:
"And whoever believes in Allah – He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things."
[At-Taghabun: 11]
Alqamah said: “It is a man who is afflicted with a trial, so he knows it is from Allaah, so he is pleased and submits.”
And in Sahih Muslim from Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: “
"There are two things amongst the people which are Kufr (Minor): Belittling a persons lineage and wailing over the dead."
And they both have from Abdillaah (Ibn Mas’ood), he said:
"He is not from us, the one who slaps the cheeks and tears the clothes, and calls with the call of Jaahiliyyah."
From Anas, he said: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said:
"If Allaah wants good for his slave, he hastens his punishment in the Dunyaa, and if he wants bad for his slave he withholds from him his sin until the Day of Judgment then he recompenses him for it."
And the Prophet ﷺ said:
"The magnitude of the reward is with the magnitude of the trial, and verily Allaah if he loves a people, he tests them, so whoever is pleased then for him is the pleasure, and whoever is angry, then for him is anger."
