Chapter: What has come in slaughtering for other than Allaah
And His statement:
Say: "Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims."
[Al-An’aam: 162-63]
And His statement:
(فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنْحَرْ)
"Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only)."
[Al-Kawthar: 2]
From Ali bin Abi Taalib may Allaah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ narrated to me four words: "May Allaah curse the one who slaughters for other than Allaah. May Allaah curse the one who curses his parents. May Allaah curse the one who gives shelter to a perpetrator; May Allaah curse the one who changes the landmarks."

And from Taariq bin Shihaab: That the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: "A man entered Jannah because of a fly, and a man entered the fire because of a fly. They said: "And how is that O Messenger of Allaah?" He said: "Two men walked passed a people who had an idol that no-one can pass it except that he sacrifice something for it, so they said to one of them: "Sacrifice." He said: "I don't have anything to sacrifice", they said: "Sacrifice, even if it be a fly." So he scarificed a fly, so they left him. So he entered the fire. And they said to the other: "Sacrifice." So he said: "I will not sacrifice anything for other than Allaah", so they struck his neck; so he entered the Jannah"
