Disrespectful wife afflicted with disrespectful children
Question: Is it true that many women who do not respect their husbands are afflicted with disrespect from their children?
Sheikh Abdulḥamīd Az-Zu’kari ḥafidhahullāh:
Allāh knows best; A WOMAN MAY INDEED BE TESTED IN THIS WAY or in other ways.
Obedience to the husband is obligatory as it aligns with obedience to Allah Almighty, and the husband has the right to be obeyed, respected, and appreciated. A woman should treat her husband well, as this is part of good character. Allah Almighty has made the husband a protector and maintainer of his wife:
“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women because Allāh has given the one more strength than the other and because they support them from their means.” [Surah An-Nisāʾ: 34] 4:34].
