O’ Men: The Righteous Wife is….
The one whom you see is serious about caring for and raising your children, teaching them Islam, good manners and the Quran, and instilling in them love for Allah, love for His Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam), and love of good for people.
Her main concern is not what they may attain in this world of prominence, wealth and degrees; rather she is concerned that they should attain a high level of piety, religious commitment, good character and knowledge.
In addition to all of that, the Muslim should choose a wife who gives him comfort when he sees her, and he feels joy in his heart when she is present, so she fills his house and his life with ease, joy and happiness.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It was said:
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband’s) absence what Allah would have them guard” [an-Nisa 4:34].
A righteous wife is also a woman who is pious, religious, and God-fearing. She is someone who puts her trust in Allah and follows His commands. She is also someone who is kind, compassionate, and understanding. She is a woman who is a good role model for her children and her husband.
If you are a Muslim woman, you can strive to be a righteous wife by following the teachings of Islam and by being a good example to others. You can also pray to Allah to help you to be a good wife and to be blessed in your marriage.
Here are some specific things that you can do to be a righteous wife:
If you strive to do these things, you will be on your way to becoming a righteous wife. And with Allah’s help, you will be blessed in your marriage.
