Understanding the Rulings on Spitting Towards the Qibla: Ablution Guidelines

Is It Permissible to Face the Qibla While Performing Ablution?

In a hadith, it is prohibited to spit towards the Qibla (the direction of prayer). However, if there is a washroom in a mosque facing the Qibla, what is the ruling?

Answer: Indeed, spitting towards the Qibla is prohibited, but performing ablution (wudu) in the direction of the Qibla is not forbidden. The act of ablution does not involve spitting; it consists of washing and cleaning oneself. There is no issue in performing these actions facing the Qibla. If someone needs to spit while performing ablution, they can do so to their right or left.
