Is Watching Islamic Videos on TikTok Permissible?

Islamic Guidance on Watching Religious Content on Social Media

Question: Is it permissible to watch Islamic videos on TikTok? Some people say they use TikTok only to watch Islamic content. Is this justified?

Answer: Whether videos are on TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram, if the content is religiously appropriate, then watching them is permissible. However, if the videos contain indecent content, such as nudity, music, dancing, or unnecessary humor, then watching them is not allowed. You should inform the person you are referring to about the Islamic ruling on watching such videos. If they listen to you and only watch appropriate content, that is fine. However, if they continue to watch inappropriate content, the responsibility for that will lie with them.
