Wudu (Ablution) Guidelines: How Many Times to Wash Each Part?

Understanding Wudu: Is It Necessary to Wash All Parts the Same Number of Times?

Question: In the Hadith, it is mentioned to wash the parts of the body for Wudu (ablution) 1, 2, or 3 times. If someone washes a part once in Wudu, should all parts be washed once, and if washed three times, should all parts be washed three times, or can it vary?

Answer: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed us to wash the parts of the body for Wudu three times. However, it is permissible to wash each part once, twice, or three times. There is no harm in washing some parts once, others twice, and others three times in a single Wudu. The key point is that the parts of the body required for Wudu should be washed thoroughly, whether it is done once, twice, or three times.
