In the Name of Allāh, the Entirely Gracious, the Exclusively Merciful
A questionnaire asks: Is it permissible to make supplication after the first Tashahhud, or only after the last one?
Supplication is only made after the Salah Ibraaheemiyyah in the final Tashahhud, as the Prophet (ﷺ) specified this in the Hadith reported by Muslim from Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه), who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
(إِذَا فَرَغَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ التَّشَهُّدِ الأَخِيرِ فَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ)
“‘When anyone of you finishes the last Tashahhud, let him seek refuge with Allah from four things”
Thus, he instructed him to make supplication after the last Tashahhud and did not mention making supplication after the first one.
