Question: I struggle to sit in the prescribed positions during prayer due to stiffness and often cross my legs after completing the prayer. Does this affect my prayer?
Answer: The Sunnah for sitting during prayer includes iftirash (sitting with the right foot upright and the left foot folded under) in most positions and tawarruk (sitting with the left leg under the body) in the final sitting. However, if one experiences difficulty or pain, they may adopt any comfortable position. After completing the prayer, sitting in any posture is permissible.
