Question: I am pregnant, and I am not feeling well. I experience nausea and weakness, and I find it difficult to pray and do not feel like praying. Can you guide me on what to do in this situation?
Answer: Prayer is an obligatory act of worship that must be performed in all circumstances, whether you are feeling unwell or anxious. Worshiping Allah brings peace to the heart.
There is no doubt that pregnancy can bring many challenges for women, but it is even more important to engage in worship during such times to seek Allah’s help and find tranquility and peace in the heart.
In cases of extreme difficulty, you can combine prayers (Jam’ Taqdeem or Jam’ Ta’kheer). This means you can pray one prayer at its last time and the next prayer at its earliest time. For example, you can pray Dhuhr just before Asr time and then pray Asr at its earliest time. This way, you can perform two prayers together. However, it is essential to ensure that you do not miss your prayers.
Additionally, keep asking Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, for ease in your situation and for the ability to perform acts of worship. He is always there to help His servants in every way.
