Question: If someone forgets to say “Bismillah” at the beginning of ablution but remembers while washing their face, what should they do?
Answer: Saying “Bismillah” at the start of ablution is recommended (sunnah). If someone forgets to say it, there is no issue, and their ablution is still valid. If they remember at any point during the ablution, they can say “Bismillah” then, just like when someone forgets to say “Bismillah” at the beginning of a meal and remembers in the middle, they can say it at that point.
