The Inimitable Word of Allah: The Miracle of the Quran

The Quran: A Divine Revelation Beyond Human Capability

ALLĀH says,

وَمَا كَانَ هَـذَا الْقُرْانُ أَن يُفْتَرَى مِن دُونِ اللّهِ

And this Qur’an is not such as could ever be produced by other than ALLĀH.

That is, that is not possible and it cannot be imagined that this Qur’an could have been produced by anyone except ALLĀH, for it is the great Book which:

لَّا يَأۡتِيهِ ٱلۡبَٰطِلُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَلَا مِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦۖ تَنزِيلٌ مِّنۡ حَكِيمٍ حَمِيدٍ

No falsehood can approach it from before it or from behind it; ˹it is˺ a revelation from One Who is Most Wise, Praiseworthy. (41:42)

It is the Book which, if all of humankind and the jinn were to come together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could never produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another (cf. 17: 88). It is the Book of ALLĀH which was spoken by the Lord of the worlds. So how could anyone in creation speak a Book like it or even come close? For the words are indicative of the greatness of the One Who spoke them and of HIS attributes.

If there was anyone who could match ALLĀH in HIS greatness and perfect attributes, then it would be possible for him to produce something like the Qur’an. If we assume that someone falsely attributed a Book to the Lord of the worlds, HE would hasten to send a severe punishment upon him.

But ALLĀH sent down this Book as a mercy to the worlds and as proof that leaves no excuse for anyone.
