﷽
Yawm Al Qiyamah, A day we all know is coming, but we act as if it will never come.
As one of the Salaf once said “If the people knew Allah, they never would disobey him”
And Allah ﷻ says
And they have not appraised Allah with due appraisal.
[39:67]
Even though this referred to the Qur’aysh who did not believe that Allah ﷻ was able in all things,
Reflect, how many times have we sinned knowing that Allah ﷻ is Al Hakim and Al Khaliq and having not repented, knowing that Allah ﷻ is Al Ghaffar and Al Jabbar.
Yawm Al Qiyamah, if only you knew of its Horror!
As Allah ﷻ says in various places,
And what can make you know what is Al Haqqah (The Sure Calamity)
[69:3]
And
And what can make you know what is Al Qari’ah (The Terrible Calamity)
[101:3]
Allah ﷻ says this to emphasise the incapability of the Human mind to even comprehend the day of Judgement.
What would make you know of something that you have never seen the likes of before? Except by experiencing it!
You would have then run away from your loved ones!
As Allah ﷻ says
The day when man shall flee from his brother, his mother and his father and his wife and children.
[80:34-36]
If you run away from them, then how fast will you run away from your evil friends, or that haram lover?
The day the sky is ripped apart from its horror!
As Allah ﷻ says
When the sky is ripped apart.
[84:1]
Fear a day when the sky is destroyed and the earth is made into a plain of gathering, where the majority of people will be crushed together standing in their own sweat.
It will be shocking enough to turn children’s hair grey.
A day austere and distressful, its viciousness has spread upon the creation.
As Allah ﷻ says
On the day which will make the children grey headed.
[73:17]
And as Allah ﷻ also says
The day you shall see it, every mother will forget her nursling, and ever pregnant one shall drop her burden.
[22:2]
Nobody will be safe.
Such is Qiyamah
May Allah ﷻ protect us from the trials of the day of Qiyamah and grant us an easy reckoning.
