Effective Ways to Safeguard Your Crops from Damage
Question: Is there any specific supplication (du’a) to protect crops from being damaged by external creatures at night?
Answer: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not teach any specific supplication for protecting crops. Therefore, we should not use supplications for this purpose. Instead, we should rely on practical measures to protect the crops from damage. Generally, crops are damaged by large animals, birds, or insects. To protect against large animals and birds, monitoring is necessary, and for insects, fertilizers or pesticides should be used.
Additionally, one should not be overly concerned about minor damage caused by animals, as this can be considered a form of charity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “There is no Muslim who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, a person, or an animal eats from it, but it is regarded as a charitable gift for him.” (Sahih Bukhari: 2320)
