Praying Without Hearing the Adhan: Guidelines for Women in Islam

Can Women Pray Without Hearing the Adhan? Understanding Prayer Timings

Question: I cannot hear the Adhan where I live, so I check the prayer times on the Muslim Pro app and pray accordingly. Is this correct?

Answer: For women, there is no requirement to call the Adhan or Iqamah. As soon as the prayer time starts, a woman should perform her prayer at the earliest time, regardless of whether she hears the Adhan or not. However, if she hears the Adhan from a mosque where it is being called on time, she should listen to the Adhan first and then pray. But if the Adhan is delayed at a particular mosque or is not audible, then a woman should perform her prayer as soon as the time begins. For accurate prayer times, it is recommended to obtain a calendar from a Salafi organization or center in your area to guide you properly.
