Unveiling the Truth: Hind bint Utbah and Hamza’s Martyrdom
Did Hind bint Utbah (may Allah be pleased with her) have Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) killed?
The Rawafid and the enemies of the Banu Umayya have fabricated a false story that Hind bint Utbah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) and the mother of Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), ordered her slave Wahshi to kill Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) and chewed his liver after his martyrdom.
However, let alone the chewing of the liver, the very notion that Hind bint Utbah (may Allah be pleased with her) orchestrated the killing of Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) is not proven, nor was Wahshi the slave of Hind bint Utbah (may Allah be pleased with her). All these claims are definitively false and fabricated.
The truth is what is found in the narration of Sahih al-Bukhari, as stated by the killer of Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him), Wahshi (may Allah be pleased with him) himself. He stated that he was the slave of “Jubayr ibn Mut’im” (may Allah be pleased with him), and Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) had killed his uncle, “Tu’ayma ibn ‘Adi.” For this reason, Jubayr ibn Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, “O Wahshi, if you kill Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him), then you are free.” It was for this reason that Wahshi martyred Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him).
Behold the proof of this from the most authentic narration of Sahih al-Bukhari:
The narration is long and is present in Sahih al-Bukhari with its complete chain of transmission. We are quoting only the relevant part. For the complete narration, see Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith number (4072).
Ubaydullah ibn ‘Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Wahshi:
Translation:
“Will you not tell us about the killing of Hamza?” He said, “Yes. Hamza killed Tu’ayma ibn ‘Adi ibn al-Khiyar at Badr. So my master, Jubayr ibn Mut’im, said to me, ‘If you kill Hamza in revenge for my uncle, then you are free.'”
He said, “So when the people went out for the year of ‘Aynayn—and ‘Aynayn is a mountain opposite Uhud, with a valley between them—I went out with the people for the battle. When they lined up for the fight, Siba’ came out and said, ‘Is there any challenger?’ Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib came out to him and said, ‘O Siba’, O son of Umm Anmar, the circumciser of women! Do you challenge Allah and His Messenger ﷺ?’ Then he (Hamza) attacked him, and he was like yesterday that has passed.”
He (Wahshi) said, “I hid for Hamza behind a rock. When he came near me, I threw my javelin at him, placing it in his lower abdomen until it came out from between his legs. That was the end of him…” etc.
[Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith number 4072, Translation by Dawood Raz (may Allah have mercy on him)]
Engineer Mirza Jhelumi goes around telling ignorant people that scholars hide the hadiths of Sahih al-Bukhari.
But Mirza Jhelumi himself is not only hiding this hadith of Sahih al-Bukhari but is also propagating false information against it without any proof. In one clip, he even referenced this narration but forcibly, without any evidence, attributed the act of ordering the killing to Hind (may Allah be pleased with her).
And when someone asked him for the chain of transmission (sanad) for the narration accusing Hind (may Allah be pleased with her) of killing Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) and chewing his liver, this incompetent person said, “If this incident wasn’t proven, why would it have been shown in the movie ‘The Message’?”
SubhanAllah! (Glory be to Allah!)
When making a claim, it’s “academic and based on books,” but when providing evidence, it’s “from movies and dramas”!
In any case, according to the narration of Sahih al-Bukhari, when the killer himself has stated that he was the slave of Jubayr ibn Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) and killed Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) at his behest, then after this truth has come to light, one should pay no heed to the gossip spread by the Rafidah and the Ashtariyyah.
