Is It Permissible to Buy Food from Non-Muslim Shops?

Understanding Halal Food Purchases from Non-Muslim Establishments

Question: Can we buy and eat food from a non-Muslim’s shop, and can we buy milk from a non-Muslim?

Answer: It is permissible to buy halal food from a non-Muslim’s shop and eat it, and there is no problem in buying milk from them. However, one should not purchase meat slaughtered by a non-Muslim or eat at their restaurant if the food is not slaughtered according to Islamic law.
