Is Hijama on the Head Permissible in Islam?

Hijama on the Head: A Permissible Practice in Islam

Question: Respected Sheikh, is it not permissible to perform Hijama on the head?

Answer: You can perform Hijama on the head; there is no issue with it. Several Hadiths provide evidence for performing Hijama on the head. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) himself had Hijama performed on his head. In Sahih Bukhari, Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated:

"The Prophet (PBUH) had Hijama performed on his head while he was in the state of Ihram due to a pain he was suffering from at a place called Luhy Jamal" (Sahih Bukhari: 5700).
