Question: Whenever one has the financial means, which act is preferable to perform first, Hajj or Umrah?
Answer: If a person has enough wealth to perform Hajj, then Hajj becomes obligatory upon them, and they must perform it without delay. In this case, it is not a matter of preference but a matter of fulfilling an obligation. However, if they do not have enough wealth to perform Hajj but can perform Umrah, then Hajj is not obligatory upon them, and they can perform Umrah instead.
