Exposing Khamenei’s Blasphemous Shia Beliefs

A Few Glimpses of the Blasphemous Beliefs of Iran’s Leader Ali Khamenei

(Written by: Mamoon Rashid bin Haroon Rashid Salafi)

There is an uproar on social media regarding the recently deceased, ruthless Rafidi, the Imam of misguidance, and the sworn enemy of Sunni Muslims, the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry is busy commenting without knowledge and insight, and falling for the deception of foolish movement-followers and mourning hypocrites, trying to portray this sinful criminal as a Mujahid of Islam, martyr of the nation, supreme leader, and great commander.

Before the supporters and facilitators of this traitor of the Ummah deceive you and sugarcoat this mischief-maker through trickery and deception, carefully read and ponder over the matters listed below. Consider whether he truly is a martyr of the nation and in any way deserving of your sympathies?!

There is no doubt that Khamenei was a Twelver Rafidi and the special student and favored successor of the leader of misguidance, Ruhollah Khomeini. Therefore, broadly speaking, his beliefs are the same as those of the Twelver Rafidis and Khomeini. However, if one closely examines his writings and speeches, he appears fundamentally as a cunning ‘politician.’ By ‘politician,’ it means he says what the other party likes to hear or what the majority wants to hear, making it easy for him to take a U-turn using Taqiyyah (dissimulation) and Ta’wil (reinterpretation), and thereby weaving an extraordinary halo of sanctity around his persona.

Thus, when it comes to creed (Aqeedah) and the discussion revolves around the Shia view of the Quran (that the Quran is created) and the belief (that Allah is omnipresent), Khamenei brushes it off by calling them mere issues of ‘Ilm al-Kalam’ (scholastic theology) and says, “The important thing is that we work to serve Islam.” This is exactly the communicative style of the movement-followers (Tahrikiyoon), just as Dedew Al-Shanqiti, Al-Qaradawi, Salman Al-Ouda, and others speak. There is also a great deal of ideological harmony between Khamenei and these movement-followers, and why wouldn’t there be, since Khamenei had a deep interest in the books of Sayyid Qutb, grew up reading them, and even translated them into Persian. (Al-Ijtihad Al-Mumanai, Idris Hani, p. 60)

Khamenei was an extremely chameleon-like, fickle-minded, and highly cunning individual. When the Companions (Sahabah) were mentioned, he would ostensibly say: “Do not abuse or curse them.” Consequently, his defenders seize upon this single sentence as a slogan, saying, “Look, Khamenei respects the Sahabah.” But at the same time, you will see that in his books, he declares the Sahabah as disbelievers (Takfeer) and sends curses upon them, feeling no hesitation or guilt in doing so.

Similarly, when it comes to Husseiniyyas and mourning gatherings (Majalis-e-Aza), he highly praises chest-beating and mourning. Yet, on the other hand, he issues a statement that his supporters can exploit, such as: “I reject prostrating to graves and crawling to shrines.” This was a purely populist and political tactic of his, through which he tried to play all sides, selling his desired narrative to everyone and succeeding in deceiving the naive public and deluded minds.

Below are a few samples of his blasphemous beliefs:

1. The Absolute Authority of the Jurist (Wilayat al-Faqih)

The Iranian system operates under the concept of ‘Wilayat al-Faqih’ (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist), who holds absolute authority over the state and religion. He is essentially the deputy of the “Infallible Hidden Imam Mahdi.” Under this, the Jurist possesses all the powers that an infallible Imam has to run society, including an absolute monopoly over power, legislation, jurisprudence, and the interpretation of Sharia rulings; to the extent that the ruler (Wali al-Faqih) is considered infallible (Masoom) and free from all errors. Therefore, no individual of the Ummah can declare him wrong in any matter, nor can anyone object to him, even if the objector is the Consultative Assembly (Majlis-e-Shura) itself.

Thus, according to the leader of the Iranian revolution, Ruhollah Khomeini, criticizing or refuting the Imam is akin to criticizing and refuting Allah. He writes: “In this narration, the Mujtahid has been declared the ruler, and rejecting him is declared as rejecting the Imam, and rejecting the Imam is rejecting Allah, and rejecting Allah is at the level of Shirk (associating partners) with Allah.” (Kashf al-Asrar, p. 207)

In reality, this so-called Mahdi of the Rafidis does not exist at all, who, according to them, has been in occultation for 1200 years. Meanwhile, the person these Rafidis claim to be the father of this hidden Imam never even married, so how could he have had children! But this deceitful nation deceives its own masses in this matter.

The Supreme Leader claims to be the deputy of this very Mahdi. All major and supreme decisions of the country, such as declarations of war and peace, and important political appointments, are in his hands. This is a lifelong position. It is not like the powers of a president, who only has temporary and administrative powers for a specific term and is elected by the people.

For them, ‘Wilayah’ and obedience to the ‘Wali of God’ is the true manifestation of practical Tawheed. They divide Tawheed into four levels: Tawheed of Essence, Tawheed of Attributes, Tawheed of Actions, and Tawheed of Worship. According to them, the real manifestation of practical Tawheed is ‘obedience to the Wali of Allah.’ Khamenei was not only a believer in this blasphemous doctrine of “Wilayat al-Faqih” but also its preacher, holding this position for 36 years after Ruhollah Khomeini.

2. The Infallibility of the Ahl al-Bayt

Regarding the Ahl al-Bayt, Khamenei’s belief is entirely opposite to that of ordinary Muslims. He grants them the status of ‘Ismah‘—being completely free from sins and errors—just like the Prophets (peace be upon them). In his book “Al-Islam Al-Muhammadi, p. 89”, he writes:

“Those great personalities whom Allah Almighty chose and granted infallibility, whether they are Prophets or the pure Imams (peace be upon them), are shining stars illuminating the skies of the physical and spiritual realms.”

Meaning, according to him, the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt are infallible.

On the contrary, Imam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) says:

“No one believes in the infallibility of the Imams except the Imamiyyah and the Ismailiyyah. And this is a statement in which they are agreed upon only by those heretics and hypocrites whose senior figures are worse than the Jews, Christians, and polytheists.” (Minhaj as-Sunnah: 3/374)

He further states:

“Whoever makes the unconditional obedience of anyone other than the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) obligatory, and mandates the verification of every piece of news given by him, and establishes his infallibility or protection in every command and news in religion, then he has placed that person on par with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and made him a rival to the Prophet (ﷺ) in the characteristics of Prophethood.” (Jami’ al-Masa’il by Ibn Taymiyyah, 1/273)

Do you think this statement by Ibn Taymiyyah is merely an accusatory argument? No! Khamenei himself has explicitly stated these things in his own books and speeches.

In the book “Al-Wahdah Al-Islamiyyah fi Fikr Al-Imam Al-Sayyid Ali Khamenei, p. 53”, Khamenei is quoted:

“The fundamental point regarding the Ahl al-Bayt is that they (Ahl us-Sunnah) do not believe, as we do, that the chain of knowledge culminates with the Ahl al-Bayt; rather, they view them merely as narrators who transmit Hadith from the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). We, however, do not accept this view. Our belief is that whatever the Ahl al-Bayt of the Noble Messenger (ﷺ) have stated is considered an (independent) divine command, and its status is exactly like that of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) Hadith. And we accept them as infallible (free from sins).”

His teacher, Ruhollah Khomeini, said the exact same thing, writing: “They are infallible from error, forgetfulness, slipping, excess, and rebellion.” (Al-Arba’un Hadithan, p. 125). “The concept of negligence and heedlessness cannot even be imagined concerning these Imams.” (Al-Hukumah Al-Islamiyyah, p. 91). Mentioning the spirituality of the Imams, he writes: “There is no heedlessness, sleep, wakefulness, or forgetfulness found in them.” (Al-Arba’un Hadithan, p. 374).

He even goes so far as to write that the infallibility of the Imams is perfect and absolute, to the point that their infallibility is higher and more complete than the infallibility of many Prophets, because those Prophets were not completely infallible and could not remain entirely safe from the teasing of Satan. (Al-Adab Al-Ma’nawiyyah li-Salah 1/64).

3. Equating Imams’ Words with Divine Commands

Khamenei openly and explicitly claims that the words of the Imams are direct commands from Allah. This means he has equated the Imams with the Prophets, who do not speak out of their own desires, as the Quran says about the Prophets:

﴿وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ، إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ﴾ [النجم: 3-4]

Thus, he says:

“Our belief is that whatever the Ahl al-Bayt of the Noble Messenger (ﷺ) have stated is an (independent) divine command, and its status is exactly like that of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) Hadith.” (Al-Wahdah Al-Islamiyyah fi Fikr Al-Imam Al-Sayyid Ali Khamenei, p. 53)

Khomeini also stated the same, writing: “The Ahl al-Bayt, who are infallible and pure, and upon whom revelation descends and angels come down.” (Sharh Du’a Al-Sahar, p. 64). “The infallible Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), who are the mines of revelation, their sayings and knowledge are divine revelation and Muhammadan disclosures.” (Al-Adab Al-Ma’nawiyyah li-Salah 1/207).

Describing the Imams as the intermediaries between the heavens and the earth, he writes: “They are the linking means and intermediaries between the divine heaven and the created earth.” (Sharh Du’a Al-Sahar, p. 4).

4. Elevating Lady Fatimah to the Rank of Prophethood

Khamenei has declared Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) as infallible and placed her at the rank of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). In the book “Al-Mar’ah fi Fikr Al-Imam Al-Khamenei, p. 16”, it is stated:

“The seventh aspect is that: Lady Zahra is an infallible personality. About her, the Imam (Khamenei) says: «She is undoubtedly infallible; she is not a Messenger in a (terminological) functional sense, nor is she an Imam or a successor (Caliph) of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in an official or formal capacity, but in terms of her rank and spiritual status, she holds the rank of a Messenger and an Imam».”

It should be remembered that the Shia consider their Imams superior to all Prophets except Muhammad (ﷺ). In fact, Khamenei’s teacher Khomeini unequivocally declared the Imams superior to all Prophets without exception: “Among the self-evident truths of our school of thought is that our Imams hold a status that cannot be reached by either a close angel or a sent Prophet.” (Al-Hukumah Al-Islamiyyah, p. 52).

According to them, the Imams are even superior to Prophets Abraham, Ishmael, Elijah, and Elisha (peace be upon them). This is pure disbelief (Kufr) about which there are no two opinions, but here Khamenei has placed Lady Fatimah exactly on par with the Prophet (ﷺ).

5. Belief in Angels Visiting Lady Fatimah

Khamenei believed that angels used to visit Lady Fatimah and that verses of the Quran were revealed to her. Accordingly, he says:

It is narrated from Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) that he said: «Indeed, Fatimah (peace be upon her) was a ‘Muhaddathah’ (one spoken to by angels)», meaning angels used to descend upon her, they would become familiar with her and converse with her… And in this narration from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him), it is also explicitly stated that angels would come to Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her), converse with her, and recite the verses of Allah to her… Similarly, it is narrated from Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) that Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her) mentioned to him that angels come, converse with her, and inform her of certain matters and realities. Upon this, Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) told her that whenever she hears the voice of an angel, she should inform him so that he could write down whatever she is hearing. Thus, Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) wrote down everything that the angels dictated to Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her). And this is the writing that remained with the Imams (peace be upon them) in the form of a book, which is called the ‘Mushaf of Fatimah’ or the ‘Sahifah of Fatimah’. (Al-Mar’ah fi Fikr Al-Imam Al-Khamenei, p. 16).

6. Belief in the ‘Mushaf of Fatimah’

Khamenei attributed an independent ‘Mushaf’ (Quran), which the Rafidis call the Mushaf of Fatimah, to Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her). As explicitly mentioned in the text above, angels would reveal verses to Lady Fatimah and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) would write those verses down. This reinforces the stance that, like ordinary Shia Rafidis, Khamenei also believes in the distortion (Tahreef) and incompleteness of the Quran.

In the book “Muqtatafat min Sirat Fatimah al-Zahra wa Zaynab, p. 143”, Khamenei says: “It has come in numerous narrations that the Imams (peace be upon them) used to refer to the Mushaf of Fatimah to resolve their various issues.”

The person writing the footnote for this book attributes a fabricated narration to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), writing that Ali said: “My wife has been given a Mushaf containing such knowledge that no one before them has been able to reach.” And attributing to Imam Baqir, he writes: “We have the Mushaf of Fatimah. And what do the people know what the Mushaf of Fatimah is? In this Mushaf, there is three times as much (material) as your Quran, and by Allah! It does not contain a single word of your Quran; rather, it contains things that Allah dictated and revealed to her.”

This narration was forged so that no one would think it is just a Tafseer (exegesis) of the Quran.

Confirming this, Khamenei says: “What sublime knowledge this is, and what unparalleled gnosis and wisdom that Allah Almighty bestowed upon a woman in her youth! Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) requested her to inform him whenever she heard the voice of the angel so that he could listen and write it down.” (p. 144).

As if Fatimah became a Prophet and Ali became her scribe of revelation!

Khamenei further adds: “Thus, Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) wrote down everything that the angels dictated to Fatimah (peace be upon her), and this became an existing book with the Imams, named the ‘Mushaf of Fatimah’ or ‘Sahifah of Fatimah’.” (p. 144).

This is the belief of Ali Khamenei, about whom people say: “He is a Muslim, why do you guys declare him a disbeliever? He defends Palestine.” They claim he stands firmly against the infidels—whereas the reality is that he does not follow the Islam known to the mainstream majority (Sawab al-Azam), but is rather a follower of a parallel religion and an independent Sharia. Its sources of creed and rulings are different, its Quran is different, its narrators of religion are separate, its Hadiths are different, there is an additional and distinct source of revelation in the form of the Imams’ sayings, and through the concept of Wilayat al-Faqih, this chain has perpetual expansion.

7. The Doctrine of Ontological Guardianship (Wilayat al-Takwiniyyah)

Another extremely dangerous belief of Khamenei is the concept of ‘Wilayat al-Takwiniyyah’, which is one of the Shia beliefs that expel one from Islam.

In Shia theology, several types of Wilayah are described. Wilayat Takwiniyyah means that Allah Almighty, by His permission, has delegated to the infallible Imams the direct authority to run the material and existential system of the universe, manifest supernatural events, and control the ontological affairs of the universe such as life, death, sustenance, and the elements of nature. In short, the Imams have the authority to dispose of the entire system of the universe, and every atom of the universe is subordinate to them.

This is not merely a claim of spiritual perfection; rather, it has deep political implications. When it is accepted that the Imam has authority over the atoms of the universe, then during the era of the Imam’s occultation, his appointed earthly deputy (i.e., the Wali al-Faqih, which Khamenei himself was) becomes, in the eyes of the public, an extremely sacred, unaccountable ruler possessing absolute powers.

Khamenei explicitly states this in his book “Al-Fikr Al-Siyasi ‘ind Khamenei” (Page 164): “This spiritual status concerning the infallibles represents Allah’s absolute vicegerency and ontological guardianship (Wilayat al-Takwiniyyah), based on which all atoms of the universe are subordinate to them.”

If all the atoms of the universe were subordinate to Ali bin Abi Talib, then how did the atoms of Abu Bakr and Umar snatch his caliphate, according to them? How contradictory their thinking is! If the atoms were subordinate, were the atoms of Ibn Ziyad also subordinate to Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) when he martyred him? Or will they say, like the Christians, that “He was the Lord and the Jews killed him because it was his own will”?

This belief directly clashes with the command of Allah Almighty:

﴿أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ ۗ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾ [الأعراف: 54]

Proving absolute Wilayat al-Takwiniyyah for any creation is Shirk (polytheism) in the domain of Lordship and an explicit contradiction to it. That is why Allah Almighty says:

﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا لَهُ﴾ [الحج: 73]

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): Which sin is the greatest in the sight of Allah? He (ﷺ) replied: «أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَكَ» (Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

8. Invoking Imams Alongside Allah

Khamenei also considers it permissible to invoke the Imams alongside Allah and to seek the fulfillment of needs from them. Thus, in his book “Al-Istifta’at Al-Jadidah, p. 233”, when he was asked about supplicating by the mediation of the rank of the Imams, asking if one can say “O Allah! Grant us by the right of our master Mahdi…”, Khamenei replied: “There is no obstacle in seeking directly from them (the Ahl al-Bayt) either, because they are among the means that Allah has ordained.”

This is his clear disbelief because supplication (Dua) in itself is an act of worship, and directing it to other than Allah is undeniably Shirk. Allah Almighty says:

﴿وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا﴾ [الجن: 18]

And in another place, He said:

Meanwhile, Khamenei is clearly saying that you can ask directly from the Imams, so what are rank and mediation?! Even though the Quranic verses are explicitly stating that this is invoking others besides Allah, and those you are invoking—whether they are Mahdi, Hasan, or Hussain—cannot hear your call, and on the Day of Judgment, they will express disgust at your action. The Quran has declared invoking others besides Allah as ‘Shirk’.

Quoting Khomeini in his book “Tarikh Al-Imam Al-Khomeini, p. 109”, Khamenei adds to it: “Protect this blessing by praying, supplicating, performing Nawafil, and entreating in the court of Allah in the darkness of the night, and by seeking the mediation (Tawassul) of our master and lord Imam Mahdi.”

It is mentioned in the book “Al-Mar’ah fi Fikr Al-Imam Al-Khamenei, p. 14”:

“The third aspect: Lady Zahra is the possessor of grace and heavenly favors and generosity, and whoever entreats the court of Allah through her mediation, becomes blessed. The Imam (Khamenei) says regarding this: «We pray to Allah Almighty to make this auspicious Eid blessed for all of you, and may you all remain under the shade of the divine grace and heavenly favors and generosity of the Leader of the Women of the Worlds».”

In another place, he says: “We should thank Allah that we adopt the mediation of her grace.” Furthermore, expressing dependency on Lady Zahra, the Imam says: “We are dependent on this great personality; this shining and bright sun benefits all the beings of the universe with its blessings, and a ray of it illuminates our homes as well.”

Regarding the Distortion of the Quran (Tahreef al-Quran)

His supporters and facilitators among the Sunnis often argue that Khamenei does not believe in the distortion of the Quran. And indeed, he has claimed in his book “Al-Islam Al-Muhammadi” that “Among the lies people invent against the Shia is that the Shia believe in the distortion of the Quran.”

But ponder for a moment! On one hand, Khamenei believes in the existence of an independent Quran that is three times larger than the original Quran under the name of ‘Mushaf of Fatimah.’ On the other hand, in his book “Al-Usul Al-Arba’ah fi Ilm Al-Rijal”, he writes about the prominent Shia scholar ‘Tusi’: “To establish the value and worth of Tusi’s books, before verifying the original book, we can base it on the reliability of their author and his exalted status.” Khamenei further says: “The greatness of the Sheikh (Tusi) and his scholarly rank is at such a height that there is no room left to deny the importance of his writings… Every book of his in the fields of Tafseer, Kalam, Usul, and Fiqh is unique and prominent, rich in innovation and renewal.”

Now let’s open and look at the reliable books of this authoritative scholar, reviver of religion, and eminent personality, Tusi, according to Khamenei. Tusi writes in his book “Al-Fawa’id Al-Tusiyyah, p. 483”: “Allah Almighty had detailed the prohibitions in these verses which have never reached us.”

Meaning, according to Tusi, some verses of the Quran never reached us at all!

Tusi further writes: “It is established by consecutive narrations (Tawatur) that no one compiled the entire Quran except the Imams (peace be upon them), and whoever claims that he has compiled the entire Quran is a liar. Whereas authentic texts indicate that the Quran revealed to Muhammad (ﷺ) contained 17,000 verses. And the Quran that exists today is approximately one-third of that in number. And it is also possible that the missing verses were longer than the existing ones… And it is proven by Tawatur that when the Mahdi emerges, he will bring the entire Quran; most people will read it, but very few will accept it.”

It is proven that according to Tusi, the present Quran is incomplete and things have been removed from it, and the original Quran is with the Mahdi, which he will bring forth when he emerges. This is not an issue of abrogated verses; rather, Tusi clearly considers the present Quran incomplete and distorted (Muharraf). Now you tell me, how can Khamenei not be a believer in the distortion of the Quran when he is so highly praising and glorifying a person who openly holds the belief of the distortion of the Quran? Especially when Taqiyyah (dissimulation) and hypocrisy are a fundamental pillar of their religion!

If anyone from Ahl as-Sunnah were to say such a thing, we would not doubt their disbelief, yet he is testifying to the leadership and the exalted status of this wretched individual.

________________________________

⑨ Whenever the Shia are mentioned, some people ignore their aforementioned blasphemous beliefs and simply say that “they taunt the Sahaba.” However, their belief in considering the Imams superior to the Prophets and the Imams’ takwini wilayah (creative authority) over the particles of the universe is even more dangerous and constitutes major shirk (polytheism) than their belief about the Sahaba.

In any case, the Sahaba Karam are the pillars of this religion and the helpers and supporters of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so now we examine the thoughts of the advocate of unity of the Ummah, Khamenei, regarding the Sahaba Karam:

Khamenei writes in his book “Al-Khawas, p. 58” about the Sahaba that when the caliphate was given to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), even though Ali was entitled to it: “Except for Fatima and a few Sahaba, no one helped Ali, and everyone pounced on him like dogs.”

May Allah protect us, what a great insult to the dignity of the Sahaba to liken them to dogs! It is regrettable that despite this, the facilitators of Rafidism will not understand and will continue to portray him as the supreme leader.

He further writes: “So Ali was caught between two groups. The first group ignored his right, and the second was hypocritical and envious.” Here, Khamenei is explicitly calling the Sahaba ‘hypocrites.’ Now, how can anyone say that he does not taunt the Sahaba? Are all these things hidden from Khamenei’s supporters, and do they only know that he apparently forbade cursing the Sahaba? He is calling the Sahaba hypocrites and saying they pounced like dogs; can there be any greater curse than this?

Then, about Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: “Yes, he fulfilled his duty regarding the preparation and burial of the Prophet (peace be upon him), but alas, others took undue advantage of his preoccupation.”

As if the Sahaba, may Allah protect us, were just waiting for Ali to be busy so they could steal the caliphate! The truth is that the Ummah desperately needed a caliph at that time to handle the affairs of the Ummah, so the Sahaba hastened to select a caliph. Allegiance was pledged to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and later Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) also pledged allegiance happily.

But Khamenei says: “They took advantage of his preoccupation and seized the caliphate, stole it, and deprived him of his right. And this cowardly act had extremely negative effects.”

Is calling Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) thieves, cowards, hypocrites, and usurpers of rights not a curse? Perhaps in the view of Khamenei’s supporters, this does not count as a curse!

O unfortunate facilitators! Why do you lie to people that he does not curse the Sahaba?

If someone says these words about your father, you would not tolerate it, so how do you tolerate all this about the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?

Rather, if we say the same things about this Khamenei himself, for which he truly deserves, you would immediately label us ‘hypocrites’ because in your view, declaring someone a kafir is the easiest thing. You are the Ikhwani activists and facilitators of Rafidism for whom calling your opponents Zionist, kafir, and hypocrite is child’s play.

Khamenei accuses Umar in his book “Al-Khawas, p. 59” that he kicked and broke the door of Fatima’s house and entered disrespectfully, and similarly on p. 61, he writes that he prevented the Prophet (peace be upon him) from writing the will of caliphate in the name of Ali.

Khamenei praises those who send curses on the Sahaba in his book “In al-Nasr ma’ al-Sabr.” Thus, on p. 138, he writes: “Sayyid Nazari was an extremely devout person. I remember he used to recite ‘Ziyarat Ashura’ aloud daily. (Everyone knows what is in the text of Ziyarat Ashura). He would send salutations and peace on the Ahl al-Bayt and curse their enemies, and he would continue this routine while walking on the road.”

In the Shia context, ‘cursing the enemies of Ahl al-Bayt’ directly means cursing Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them); this is known to every person familiar with Shia beliefs, yet Khamenei is calling him a worshiper and ascetic.

In his book “Al-Khawas, p. 63,” he taunts the esteemed Sahabi Abdullah Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him), writing: “Abd al-Rahman did not have the courage to openly oppose, so he resorted to deceit and fraud… and through this deception, Abd al-Rahman bin Awf and his group succeeded in diverting people from the axis of truth and justice; and thus Imam Ali (peace be upon him) was left alone, without helpers, his right was snatched away, and his condition was such that his heart was bursting due to the pains and calamities he endured at the hands of these people and others like them.”

He further writes: “And wonder at Abu Bakr who accuses others of division, while he forgets that he was the first person who scattered the Muslim community and (leaving the burial of the Messenger of Allah) went with his group to Saqifah to conspire on the matter of caliphate; he wove such conspiracies behind the scenes whose purpose was to usurp (the caliphate from its rightful owner).” (Al-Khawas, p. 57)

Accusing the senior Sahaba of worldly greed and lust for wealth and money, he writes: “All these matters occurred seven years after the death of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and the first signs of these (deviations) appeared when it was said that: ‘Those who have precedence in Islam—namely the companions of the Messenger of Allah who participated in wars with him—cannot be equal to ordinary people; they should have special privileges!’ Thus, they were given financial privileges from the Bayt al-Mal. This was the first brick (of discriminatory treatment), and the condition of all deviant movements is that they start from a small point and then their intensity increases with each step.

These deviations started from here until the era of Uthman (bin Affan) arrived, where by the middle of the third caliph’s rule, the situation reached such a point that the great companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) became the richest people of their time. That is, those famous companions—like Talha, Zubair, and Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas, etc.—who had great achievements, became first-class capitalists; to the extent that when one of them died and his wealth was to be divided among the heirs, the gold—which he had melted into bricks (ingots)—had to be broken with axes, just like wood is broken with axes. Just think how much gold there must have been that it needed to be broken with axes? Whereas gold is weighed in masha and tola (mithqal)!

These are the facts that history has preserved! These are not things that can be said to have been recorded only in Shia books, no way, but all (historians) have written this. The amounts of dinars and dirhams they left were staggeringly high! And this was the situation that became the cause of events like those (wars and fitnas) during the era of Amir al-Mu’minin (Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him); that is, because for some people, ‘position’ and ‘wealth’ had become excessively important, so they chose the path of confrontation with him (Ali). At that time, twenty-five years had passed since the death of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and many mistakes and slips (in society) had taken root.” (Al-Khawas, p. 30)

Khamenei has taunted the lineage of the Sahabi of the Prophet, Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As, and accused his mother of adultery, declaring him a child of adultery. Thus, he writes: “Amr bin As bin Wail belonged to the tribe of Bani Sahim, and according to the narration quoted by (Allama) Zamakhshari (Rabi’ al-Abrar), his mother (Nabigha bint Harmala) was a slave girl from the tribe of Anza, who was captured in a war and brought to Mecca, and Abdullah bin Jada’an Taimi bought her. She was among those women who used to put flags on their houses and openly commit adultery. So in one night, Abu Lahab, Umayyah bin Khalaf, Hisham (bin Mughira), Abu Sufyan, and As bin Wail all committed adultery with her, from which she became pregnant and Amr (bin As) was born.

When this child was born, a dispute arose among these five men, and each claimed that Amr was his son (because he resembled all of them). Finally, the decision was left to his mother, so she said: ‘This is the son of As bin Wail, and my pregnancy was from him.’ (According to historical narrations) The reason for this choice was that As bin Wail had given this woman more wages (money) compared to her other companions, so for material benefit, she attributed him to As?!” (Al-Khawas, p. 74)

He further writes: “Muawiyah (bin Abi Sufyan), Amr bin As, Ibn Abi Mu’it (Walid bin Uqba), Habib bin Muslimah, and Ibn Abi Sarah (Abdullah bin Sa’d); these people were neither religious nor Quranic (meaning they had no connection with religion and Quranic commands)… They were the worst children in childhood and proved to be the worst men when they grew up.” (Al-Khawas: 82-83)

Do you need more examples of taunts and vilification? Study Khamenei’s book Al-Khawas, which is filled with insults to the dignity of the Sahaba, taunts, vilification, and curses.

Khamenei calls Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) a ‘despicable person’ in his book ‘Al-Durus al-Azima min Sira Ahl al-Bayt, p. 17,’ and not only that, but he also sends curses on him and all Bani Umayyah. Thus, in his book ‘Al-Nida al-Akhir, p. 19,’ he writes: “And you know that cursing Bani Umayyah—may Allah curse them—and raising voice against their oppression and tyranny—even though they have perished and reached hell—is in fact a protest call against the oppressors of the world, and this is so that this call that shatters oppression can be kept alive forever.”

Similarly, in another book ‘Tarikh al-Imam al-Khomeini, p. 245,’ he writes: ‘And you know that cursing Bani Umayyah—may Allah curse them—and raising voice against their oppression and tyranny—even though they have perished and reached hell’

Now think, who are Bani Umayyah? At the top of Bani Umayyah are Hazrat Uthman bin Affan, Hazrat Muawiyah, and Hazrat Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with them). And he is saying that they all have reached hell, and yet people say that Khamenei does not taunt the Sahaba! He further writes: “And it is necessary that (in mourning assemblies) they be mentioned and cursed.”

That is, he declares it obligatory to curse and taunt those enemies of Ahl al-Bayt, who in the view of these Rawafid are the pure personalities of the Sahaba Karam.

Now where are those people who claim that he does not taunt the Sahaba and prevents saying bad things about the Sahaba? While he himself is saying that in mourning processions and assemblies, it is essential to curse Bani Umayyah and condemn them fully.

About the Sahabi of the Prophet, Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him), he writes: “The narrators have abundantly mentioned that (at this critical juncture) Abu Sufyan outwardly adopted the role of a passionate supporter of Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him); so he started threatening and challenging, saying: ‘By God! I will fill the streets of Medina with horses and foot soldiers against them (who seized the caliphate).’ But it was not hidden from Ali (peace be upon him) that Abu Sufyan’s behavior was merely to create division among Muslims and to ignite the fire of fitna; so that he and other people like him, who had hidden shirk and hypocrisy in their hearts, could get the opportunity to achieve anti-Islamic objectives.” (Al-Khawas, p. 55-56)

In his book “Al-Khawas,” he declares the esteemed Sahabi Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) a liar and giver of false testimony. Thus, on p. 65, he writes: “He brought fifty men who testified that this water is not the water of Haw’ab. And this was the first false testimony given in Islam.”

This is itself a fabricated story used as a basis to call a Sahabi a liar.

And those who defend Khamenei by saying that he does not taunt Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), they are lying. Yes, there is a group of Shia who throw mud on the chastity of Sayyida Aisha, while Khamenei’s group apparently does not do so, but does he not taunt her in other ways?

Khamenei writes on the same page of the same book: “And Jahili thoughts began to infiltrate among them (Sahaba) again, and religion gradually became a means to obtain worldly interests and material benefits.”

He did not name Sayyida Aisha here, but see in the next sentence whom this taunt fits; he writes: “The Messenger of Allah had prophesied these events before his death when one day he was sitting in his house in the presence of Aisha and some other wives. He (peace be upon him) said: «As if I see one of you being barked at by the dogs of Haw’ab, and beware that it might be you, O Humayra (Aisha)!»”

Through this, Khamenei wants to convey that the personality who used religion for worldly interests and adopted Jahili thoughts (we seek refuge in Allah) was Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).

Imam Dhahabi (may Allah have mercy on him), while describing the ranks of Shia, says: “If a Shia progresses to the point of slandering the Shaykhayn (Abu Bakr and Umar), then he is a filthy Rafidi.” (Siyar A’lam al-Nubala 7/370)

Imam Sufyan Thawri (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked whether prayer can be offered behind a person who curses Abu Bakr and Umar? He said: “No.” (Sharh Usul I’tiqad Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah by al-Lalkai, hadith: 2813)

Imam Abu Zur’ah al-Razi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: “When you see a person disparaging any companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), know that he is a Zindiq.” (Al-Kifayah by al-Khatib, p. 49)

⑩ Those who, in the name of unity of the nation, remain silent about Khamenei and forbid discussing his beliefs should know that Khamenei himself throws mud on the major scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah and taunts and vilifies them in various ways.

Thus, Ka’b al-Ahbar was an esteemed Tabi’i; he was previously Jewish, then embraced Islam, and his Islam was excellent. Imam Dhahabi says about him: “He was extremely firm in religion, of good Islam, and used to sit frequently in the assemblies of the Sahaba.”

But Khamenei, in his book “Al-Durus al-Azima, p. 142,” rants about him, writing: “Ka’b al-Ahbar used to fabricate and narrate these hadiths, either to flatter the rulers of Sham so that his status increases in their hearts and he gets more share, or due to his inner enmity against Islam… so that he could destroy the great foundation of the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).”

Just tell me! A Tabi’i is being called an enemy of Islam and an enemy of hadiths! Is this the example of invitation to unity of the nation and avoidance of differences?!

Similarly, about another esteemed Tabi’i, Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him), on p. 143 of the same book, he writes: “It becomes clear that Muhammad bin Shihab al-Zuhri was attached to the service of the rulers, and he used to write and give them such hadiths that suited their purposes.”

Those who do not know the status of Imam Zuhri should know that taunting Imam Zuhri is no less than taunting Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, because countless authentic hadiths in these books are narrated through the chain of Imam Zuhri. Accusing Imam Zuhri of lying and fabricating hadiths for rulers is actually a heinous conspiracy to demolish the treasure of hadith of the Ummah of Muhammad. Imam Shafi’i (may Allah have mercy on him) says: “If Zuhri had not been there, the sunnahs would have disappeared from Madinah Munawwarah.”

In his book “Al-Gharb: Al-Shabab fi Ma’rakat al-Masir” (p. 99), Khamenei writes about Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him): “In the ideological field, the ‘takfiri thought’ of recent centuries actually returns to the thoughts and opinions of Ibn Taymiyyah, because the takfiri groups of the current era derive the basis of their takfiri thinking from there. Therefore, if we want to recognize the thoughts and ideologies of takfiris, we have to start from Ibn Taymiyyah to reach its root.”

Was Ibn Taymiyyah a takfiri?

Did Ibn Taymiyyah declare takfir on those who deny the infallibility of the Imams?

Does Ibn Taymiyyah call those who do not hold the belief in the Imamate of Ali bin Abi Talib kafirs?

Did Ibn Taymiyyah declare those kafirs who believe that Allah is above the Throne?

Is he the Ibn Taymiyyah who said that ‘our war in Sham is a war against kufr’?

No, absolutely not! It is you who consider Ahl al-Sunnah as kafirs, consider their blood, wealth, and honors halal, declare them more impure than pigs and dogs, and call the war against them a war and jihad against kufr!

And it is your teacher, your imam and mentor, and Wali Faqih Khomeini who says: “As for the Nawasib and Khawarij—may Allah curse them—both groups are impure.” (Zubdat al-Ahkam, p. 52)

“No matter what, it is not appropriate to raise doubt in the kufr and impurity of both groups, because the kufr of both well-known groups of Nawasib and Khawarij is certainly agreed upon.” (Al-Taharah by Khomeini 3/336)

“The strongest position is to include the Nawasib in the category of harbiyyun regarding the permissibility of taking their property as spoils and the obligation of paying khums from it; rather, it is apparent that it is permissible to take the property of a Nasibi wherever and however it is found, and paying khums from it is obligatory.” (Tahrir al-Wasilah 1/352)

Khamenei further writes: “In the twelfth century Hijri, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab appeared in the region of Najd, and with him, takfiri thoughts moved from the theoretical stage to the stage of practical implementation. In this era, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab used words like ‘shirk’ and ‘kufr’ with great boldness to describe the conditions of Muslims.”

Here we need to understand the term ‘Nawasib’ among the Shia, whom they never tire of declaring takfir on. Shia scholar Al-Bahrani writes in “Al-Mahasinn al-Nafsaniyyah, p. 254”: “Nasibi is the one who is called Sunni among them (Muslims).”

That is, in Shia terminology, ‘Nasibi’ means ‘Sunni.’

He further writes: “There is no difference of opinion that by Nasibah is meant Ahl al-Sunnah.”

Muhammad Tijani also says the same that “It is not in need of introduction that the religion of Nawasib is actually the religion of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah.” (Al-Shi’ah hum Ahl al-Sunnah)

One of their great sheikhs, Bahbahani, writes in his book “Hashiyah al-Wafi” (p. 514): “Do you not see that the Sayyid says that a Sunni is truly a kafir, but all the rulings of kufr do not apply to him in the world.”

That is, apparently they treat them like Muslims in the world, but in their hearts, they consider them kafirs. And yes, this treatment like Muslims is not always!

Ni’matullah al-Jazairi writes in his book “Al-Anwar al-Nu’maniyyah 2/210”: “The rulings and conditions of a Nasibi (Sunni) consist of two things. First, it is mentioned in narrations that he is impure, and he is worse than a Jew, Christian, and Magian. And according to the consensus of Imami scholars, he is a kafir and impure.”

And (p. 211) he writes that the sign of being a Nasibi is: “Preferring someone else over Ali.”

While all Ahl al-Sunnah prefer Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) over Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).

Now reflect on Khamenei’s statement that “takfiri thinking emerged from Ibn Taymiyyah and Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab.” And then open their book “Bihar al-Anwar”! Ibn Farqad narrates that I asked Abu Abdullah (a falsely attributed narration to Imam Ja’far Sadiq): “What is the ruling on killing a Nasibi?” He said: “His blood is halal. But observe taqiyyah; if you can bury him under a wall or drown him in water so that no witness comes against you, then do so.” I asked: “What to do with his property?” The answer was: “Whatever you find, loot it.” (37/231)

Contemporary Shia scholar Sayyid Kamal Haidari says: “There is not a single one among the Imami (Shia) scholars who has not ruled kufr on non-Shia (i.e., Ahl al-Sunnah). Yes, the difference among them is only in one matter, and that is that some of them have ruled kufr on both the apparent and inner (world and hereafter) of the opponents, while some others have declared them Muslims in appearance and kafirs in inner. Otherwise, there is consensus that they are kafirs in inner (hereafter).

What is the basis of this consensus? What is the theoretical basis of this takfir? The main reason is that according to the Imami, ‘Imamate’ is either one of the principles of religion or one of the principles of the sect. Therefore, withdrawing from or defending this takfiri theory in the school of Ahl al-Bayt (Imami perspective) is not possible until this ‘mabna’ (fundamental theory) is changed. As long as you hold that Imamate is from the principles of religion or principles of the sect, or from the indispensable necessities of religion (daruriyat din), its inevitable result will be (the opponent’s) takfir; there is no other way.

This is why we find clear explicitness of this in the statements of the elders of Imami. This is page number 62 of the twenty-second volume of ‘Sahib Jawahir’ (Sheikh Muhammad Hasan Najafi)’s book (Jawahir al-Kalam) in front of you. He writes in it: ‘Rather, the texts based on cursing, taunting, vilifying, and takfir (of Ahl al-Sunnah) have reached the level of tawatur, and that they are the Magians of this Ummah, worse than Christians, and more impure (unclean) than dogs’.” (https://youtu.be/hEuMK_BcoMQ?si=8RQtsK1sLbrXdCwo)

Now tell me who took takfiri thoughts from theory and put them into practice? Who looted the property of Muslims, killed them, and in Sham dropped buildings and walls on people’s heads? Blew them up with bombs and explosives?

It is Khamenei himself! Who is dumping all his filth on others and trying to escape by saving his own skirt!!!

And the wonder is that he says about Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab: “They created ‘Wahhabism’ from the beginning to shatter the unity of Islam and establish a specific camp—like Israel—within Islamic society. Just as Israel was created to serve as a military barracks against Islam, similarly they created the Wahhabi government and the leaders of the Najd region to have their own security center connected to them within Islamic society; and this is the situation you are seeing with your own eyes today.” (Al-Wahdah al-Islamiyyah fi Fikr al-Imam al-Khamenei, p. 173)

Today, many Ikhwani, Jamati, and Sufi also speak the language of Khamenei.

And see the irony, the gentlemen who call themselves Sunni and defend Khamenei today, Khamenei says about them: “We cannot call every Wahhabi sect takfiri. Today we are seeing that some Wahhabis are coming towards moderation. However, these moderate factions have not yet gained dominance over Wahhabism.” (Al-Gharb: Al-Shabab fi Ma’rakat al-Masir, p. 100)

Congratulations, O facilitators who call yourselves Sunni! Khamenei is pleased with you and has declared you ‘moderate’!

In Bihar al-Anwar, it is stated that “When the Qa’im (Mahdi) comes, he will first exhume the bodies of Abu Bakr and Umar (we seek refuge in Allah), burn them, and scatter them in the air, and demolish the mosque.” (Bihar al-Anwar, h: 200)

Khamenei says about the same Mahdi that “The government of Imam Mahdi will be a 100 percent pure Islamic government.” Now you yourselves connect these things and see what ‘Islam’ is according to Khamenei.

11- In Idris Hani’s book “Al-Ijtihad al-Mamani’ al-Siyasah wa al-Thaqafah wa al-Mujtama’ fi Fikr al-Imam al-Khamenei, p. 84,” Khamenei is attributed to the Mu’tazili school of thought.

It also writes: “Wilayah Faqih should be understood in the light of those principles that have been established in the kalam of the Adliyyah school: Imami and Mu’tazilah.”

Moreover, it is an established fact about today’s Shia that they adhere to the Mu’tazilah method in most chapters of beliefs, and then add more misguidances from their side.

Finally, also observe some of Khamenei’s fiqhi fatwas.

➊ He says that among the things that bring people closer to Allah and connect them to religion are “traditional mourning assemblies, Husayni assemblies, mourning the Imam, crying over them, and beating the chest in mourning groups.” (Wa Intasar al-Dam, p. 35)

He is happy with these things because in this way he plays with people’s emotions and makes them follow him.

➋ In Al-Istifta’at al-Jadidah, p. 409, he gives a fatwa that a woman can authorize a man to contract her mut’ah marriage with himself. That is, neither the woman’s father will be the wali nor anyone else, but the man himself will be the wakil and the groom! Khamenei also tells the formula that the man should say: “I have married my client so-and-so to myself for such and such mahr.” And then say himself: “I have accepted.”

Wow! What a thing!! That is, if a man wants to commit zina with his mistress, he himself becomes the wakil and wali and marries himself to himself, satisfies his lust, and does not become an adulterer!! The drunkard remains drunkard, and paradise is not lost from hand.

➌ When a person asks Khamenei: “Can I do mut’ah with a woman about whom I suspect that perhaps she has done mut’ah with another man before contracting with me and her iddah has not been completed?” Khamenei replies: “If she claims that she is not married and not in iddah, then believing her, marriage (mut’ah) with her is permissible.” Meaning, become blind, do not investigate the truth, and take the name of Satan and do mut’ah. (Al-Istifta’at al-Jadidah, p. 288)

➍ When a person asks Khamenei: “What is the ruling on cutting bread with a knife?” He says: “It is permissible along with being makruh (disliked).” (Al-Istifta’at al-Jadidah, p. 322)

I don’t understand, if someone has to cut pizza, what will that person do?

➎ This is Khamenei’s most dangerous and filthy fatwa; a questioner asks: “What is the ruling on placing the sperm of a strange man in a woman’s womb (surrogacy)?” (That is, place the sperm of some non-mahram man in the womb of your mother, sister, or wife). Khamenei shamelessly says: “There is no harm in this act itself, but it is necessary to avoid its haram preliminaries, namely touching or looking at a non-mahram.” (Al-Istifta’at al-Jadidah, p. 252)

What nonsense! You are inserting the sperm of a strange man, who is not the husband of the woman, into her womb; this is outright zina. No sensible person can permit this.

A similar fatwa is that since couples can adopt others’ children, is it possible that after mixing the sperm and egg of husband and wife (Embryo) one or two days after formation, it is removed from that woman’s womb and placed in the womb of another adoptive woman so that she gives birth and raises it? Khamenei’s answer: “There is no prohibition in this.” (Al-Istifta’at al-Jadidah, p. 252)

What kind of fiqh is this that permits transferring the sperm of a stranger into the wombs of other women? Have they not read this command of Allah Ta’ala: ﴿إِنْ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ إِلَّا اللَّائِي وَلَدْنَهُمْ﴾ [Al-Mujadilah: 2] (Their mothers are only those who gave birth to them). When you remove the sperm from one woman’s womb and place it in another’s, how many serious issues of lineage, maternity, and rights will arise? This is zina of sperm.

In summary, this person has neither correct belief, nor piety, nor protection of religion; rather, outright blasphemies, extending tongue against the pure personalities of the Sahaba Karam, terrorism and bloodshed, and enmity with Sunnis is his entire capital. But despite this, some people build bridges of his praises because they have given an emotional issue (Palestine) more importance than Islam and belief. And the result is that they eulogize such a person, rather, they accuse Ahl al-Sunnah who do not praise him that “these Sunnis are hypocrites.” May Allah Ta’ala protect us from this fitna and grant us well-being.
