Question: If there is financial hardship at home and also at the office, no financial arrangement can be made from anywhere, business is in decline, and due to the evil eye, no solution is found. In such a case, is it permissible to give the Adhan (call to prayer) at home or in the office?
Answer: If there is financial hardship at home or the office is not running well, or the business is facing a downturn, Adhan should not be given in the home or office because the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not teach us to give Adhan in times of hardship.
If someone is facing financial difficulties at home, office, or in business, they should review their affairs and investigate the reasons behind the business downturn. Sometimes a particular business is not profitable in a certain location; in that case, one should carefully consider and choose a suitable business. If the business is appropriate yet still not profitable, there may be underlying reasons. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the circumstances, correct them, and improve your affairs. Allah, the Lord of the worlds, has provided countless means of livelihood. A person can earn lawful sustenance through hard work, and especially in today’s world, there are many opportunities to earn a living. The key is to work hard, be patient, trust in Allah, and live a righteous life. Often, we neglect Allah, and as a result, He distances us from His mercy.
Lastly, I would like to make two points regarding your question:
1. There is no need to give Adhan in such situations as there is no evidence for it.
2. These issues have nothing to do with the evil eye, so do not entertain such thoughts. Follow the advice mentioned above.
