Question: If someone does not remember the supplication (dua) for Witr or the funeral prayer, what should they recite?
Answer: It is regrettable that a Muslim does not remember the supplication for Witr or the funeral prayer. Such a person should promptly memorize the supplications for both Witr and the funeral prayer and recite them verbally during the prayer. This is not a difficult task. If one occasionally omits the supplication in Witr, there is no harm. There are several supplications related to the funeral prayer; one can memorize any of them.
