Question: Does breastfeeding a child break wudu (ablution)?
Answer: Breastfeeding a child does not break wudu. There is no evidence in Shariah that suggests a woman’s wudu is invalidated by breastfeeding. It is unclear how this misconception became widespread in society. In fact, some women believe that they should perform wudu before breastfeeding, but this is a cultural practice and has no basis in Islam.
