Reciting Extra Supplications After Tashahhud: What Is Allowed in Islam?

Question: When we sit in Tashahhud, we recite Al-Tahiyyat, followed by Durood and the prescribed supplications. Can we also recite other supplications from the Quran and Hadith after this?

Answer: When you sit in the final Tashahhud, after reciting Al-Tahiyyat, Durood, and the related supplications, you can indeed recite additional supplications from the Quran and Hadith. There is no harm in this; in fact, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged making supplications during the final Tashahhud.
