What is the Ruling on Reciting a Special Prayer After Finishing the Quran?
Question: Is there a specific prayer to be recited at the end of the Quran?
Answer: There is no authentic hadith that prescribes a specific prayer to be recited upon completing the Quran. Therefore, we should not perform such an act. Reciting the Quran itself is a source of great reward, as each letter earns ten good deeds. Thus, from the moment a person starts reading the Quran until they finish, they are continuously earning rewards for each letter. There is no need for a separate prayer upon completion. Additionally, we should not only recite the Quran but also understand its meanings to fulfill the purpose for which it was revealed.
