Doing Good Deeds Through Others: Is it Acceptable?

Doing Good Deeds Through Others: Is it Acceptable?

Question: Helping someone in need is a good deed, but some people ask others to do it even though they can do it themselves. Is this correct?

Answer: It is better to perform acts of charity and good deeds yourself with sincerity, without seeking fame or recognition. However, if someone arranges for charity and good deeds to be done through a trustworthy person, there is no harm in that. The important thing is that the person through whom the charity is done should be reliable and trustworthy, so that the entrusted responsibility is fulfilled with integrity.
