Do Bird Droppings Make Clothes Impure in Islam? Understanding Cleanliness and Purity Rules
Question: If one sits on dry bird droppings, do the clothes become impure?
Answer: According to Islamic jurisprudence, the urine and feces of any halal (permissible) animal are considered pure. Therefore, if they come into contact with the body or clothes, they do not render them impure. Similarly, the droppings of all halal birds are also considered pure. Hence, whether the droppings are dry or wet, they do not make the clothes or body impure. If there is a stain or mark from the droppings, it can be scraped off or washed away for cleanliness, but this is not for the purpose of removing impurity, rather it is for maintaining cleanliness.
