Unlocking the Power of Supplication: Dua During Adhan and its Authenticity
Question: In a video, Qari Suhaib mentioned that making dua during the Adhan is accepted. The question is, since we are supposed to respond to the Adhan, how can we make dua at that time?
Answer: What Qari Suhaib (may Allah protect him) mentioned is correct and is stated in an authentic Hadith. There is no obstacle to making dua during the Adhan. One can respond to the Adhan and make dua at the same time. The authentic Hadith related to making dua during the Adhan is as follows:
Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Two (times of) supplications are not rejected or are rarely rejected: the supplication at the time of the call to prayer and the supplication at the time of battle when the two armies engage each other." (Sahih Abi Dawood: 2540)
