The Role of Muslim Women in Seeking Ilm and Benefiting the Ummah
It is upon the Muslim women to strive and be more determined and more inclined to seek ilm than the men, there is nothing wrong with her staying in her home and memorising the Qur’an and mutton and attending classes. And know that there is no difference between the man and the woman in seeking ilm, and know that Allah عز وجل can make the female a means of benefit just like a man, even if she can’t converse with or teach other females; but she will be able to teach her children in her home, and maybe one of them will become someone that Allah عز وجل allows to be a benefit to the ummah. So the Muslim woman may be a wife, mother, nurturer of the household and a seeker of knowledge; it’s not something impossible, but (what is needed) is desire and determination, and success is from Allah سبحانه.
