Seeking Forgiveness from Both the Wronged Party and Allah
Question: When we commit a sin, we ask Allah for forgiveness because it is a sin against Allah. However, if the sin involves another person, that person must forgive us. If the person forgives, does Allah also forgive?
Answer: If someone commits a sin involving another person and the person forgives them, then Allah also forgives. However, the person should also seek forgiveness from Allah because they have disobeyed Allah’s command. Hasn’t Allah forbidden us from wronging others and being unjust? Therefore, it is better to seek forgiveness from Allah as well.
