Validity of Prayer and Quran Recitation with Residual Dough on Hands

Does Residual Dough Affect Wudu and Prayer Validity?

Question: Sheikh, my question is, after making bread, when we perform Wudu (ablution), if a small amount of dough remains under the nails and we notice it after praying, is our prayer valid? Similarly, if we recite the Quran in this state, should I perform Wudu again, or is my Wudu still valid?

Answer: Firstly, the woman who kneads dough should thoroughly clean her hands before performing Wudu.

If, occasionally, a small amount of dough remains under the nails unintentionally and you have performed Wudu and prayed, there is no issue; your prayer is valid. Dough is a substance that water can penetrate, and a small amount of dough is not significant. However, it is advisable to be cautious in the future and clean your hands thoroughly before performing Wudu.

As for reciting the Quran, you can do so without Wudu. There is no issue with reciting the Quran without Wudu.
